Create a “Zen Space”

JUST :10 MINUTES A DAY FOR … serenity … tranquility … peace … and calm. Create a place for yourself to unwind … rest … relax … recharge …  and connect with yourself.

SPENDING TIME … each day quieting the mind and dropping into your heart space contributes to overall health and happiness. Do you have a place in your home that provides space for reflection? Do you have your own private “Zen Space”? An oasis in a hectic world, it’s very important.

CREATING A “ZEN SPACE” … in your home is easy to do and has incredible benefits. It gives you a place that feels like a mini sanctuary so you can take a moment for yourself to reflect daily, or as many times you need to. It’s essential to have some type of retreat and sanctuary these days. Daily stress can take a toll on both physical and mental health. Studies show that various forms of relaxation may help reduce many chronic health concerns, as well as restore energy and encourage a more positive sense of Self.

THE HEALTH BENEFITS … of calming the mind and relaxing the body are plentiful, relaxation is an integral part of our healing. Relaxation helps form a state of mind where you feel a sense of calm, and helps you manage stress and anxiety. Relaxation not only helps reduce stress, anxiety and symptoms of depression – but it also helps lower the heart rate, breathing rate, and blood pressure. It can help reduce muscle tension, chronic pain, fatigue, anger and frustration. Relaxation also helps to improve concentration, your mood and coping capabilities, it provides a boost in energy and allows for better sleep patterns. Taking time to nurture yourself and self-reflect can help make your mind, body, and spirit stronger with better mental and physical health overall.

YOU DON’T NEED MUCH ROOM … to create a private “Zen Space” for yourself, just make it special. Make it a sacred space without a cell phone, TV, newspaper or other distractions. It’s a space to connect with yourself and comfort the heart. This space should be calming, peaceful and soothing. Set up a comfortable area with a small table. Add a few objects that give you pleasure, motivate you to self-reflect, and self-nurture, even if it’s just :10 minutes a day.

MAKING SMALL CHANGES … can have a huge impact on your health and happiness. And, creating a space in your home to nurture yourself is a small change that’s easy to do. A “Zen Space” for yourself – a space that feels great and allows you the opportunity to experience tranquility.

GET SERIOUS ABOUT RELAXATION … Relaxing in your own private “Zen Space” can be one of the healthiest things to incorporate into your life. Imagine that, relaxing in your own private “Zen Space” could be a vital component of your self-care and wellness routine, and, yes, it can be as little as :10 minutes a day.
